Accommodations · practice the way you'll test

Practice with the extended time you'll actually get.

If you test with extended time, extra breaks, or a distraction-reduced room — because of a 504/IEP, ADHD, anxiety, or a learning difference — practicing on a normal-speed app doesn't prepare you for your real test. Mocks run on your extended time; practice never rushes you.

Mocks run on your extended time

Set 1.5x or 2x for full mock exams, while regular practice never rushes you. A book can't slow its clock down; PrepLion can match the pacing you need.

A distraction-reduced surface

Focus Mode strips the screen to one question at a time — no clutter, no loud timers — the closest thing to a distraction-reduced testing room you can practice in.

Breaks + energy check-ins

Take a breather whenever you need one and pace to your energy — so you're studying at your stamina, not locked into a rigid block built for someone else.

Study together (body-doubling)

The single most-cited ADHD tool: a study room and a study partner for accountability. Show up, someone's there, it becomes automatic that it's study time.

Why this matters

Getting approved for extended time is only half the battle — you still have to use it well. Students who only ever practice at normal speed feel thrown off when the real test gives them 1.5x or 2x: the pacing is different, the breaks land differently, and the extra time can feel like pressure instead of help. Practicing the way you'll test turns your accommodation into an actual advantage. No content site, prep book, or normal-speed app does this.

  • Set 1.5x or 2x once — mocks use it, and practice never rushes you.
  • Use your first free diagnostic to see which topics deserve your extra time.
  • Practice in Focus Mode for a distraction-reduced feel.

Need to GET accommodations first?

If you don't yet have extended time approved, the SAT (College Board SSD) and ACT both grant it with documentation — start early, requests take ~7 weeks. Our step-by-step guide walks through it:
